Prior knowledgePrior technical education is required. At least lower technical vocational school (LTS), Electrical Switch Technology or similar is a prerequisite.

- Common defects and associated risks
- Visual inspection of equipment
- Thresholds and measurement methods for insulation resistance, resistance of protective conductors and leakage current
- Animations and movies related to measurement methods, breakdown voltages, etc.
- Reporting of measured values

Practicum
The NEN 3140 Electrical Work Equipment Approval training contains half a day in the practical lab. The following subjects will be addressed:
- Visual inspection
- Measuring protection line resistance for class I equipment
- Measuring insulation resistance at class I and II and III equipment
- Measurement of leakage currents
- Reporting by completing inspection forms

Throughout the course, we will assess active participation, correct application of the learned skills and the ability to apply what you have learned in practice. If you pass, you will receive a company-recognised certificate and your employer can appoint you to be a NEN 3140 Inspector of electrical work equipment.
